The colourful "Start Building" connecting tiles can be joined to one another in many different ways. To form the basic shape, two connecting tiles are joined using the slits so that they form a cross. You can then go on to attach another tile to each side of a horizontal cross or you can join two standing up tiles to get a butterfly shape. When two tiles are laid out side by side, it’s possible to insert a third tile standing up in the newly-formed slit. From here you can go on to build all sorts of structures, like a tower. If building a tall structure isn’t enticing, the tiles can simply be laid out to create beautiful patterns using the colours and the slits to make a decorative creation. In addition to the shapes and patterns shown in the "Start Building" instruction manual, there are endless possibilities with this play material to build or design any structure or pattern you like.
