The 71th annual Nuremberg International Toy Fair took place from January 29 to February 2, 2020 in Nuremberg, Germany. As the largest gathering for the toy industry, the fair welcomed approximately 63,500 trade visitors from 136 countries in the second largest city in Bavaria. This year’s themes were sustainability, integration and digital stars.

This year, our 105m² exhibition stand offered enough space for the presentation of our expanded vehicle line, as well as our three sustainable Big Concepts “Start Building”, “olifu Dice” and “KuKo” (our innovative ball-based concept). “It’s important that children can occupy themselves with something and gather their own experiences together with others,” says Oliver Funk. “Our KuKo Concept inspires enthusiasm in children because of its variety of experiments and details, and we were able to present this in an impressive way to the visitors at the Toy Fair.”

“Our innovative exhibition at the Fair was well-received by trade visitors, business partners, and employees alike.” Our company visionary Oliver Funk reflects on the positive experience at the Toy Fair.

Our intense experience at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair was well-concluded with positive feedback and a visit from a local television station (Franken-TV) which was an exciting experience for all. Our takeaway from the 2020 Nuremberg International Toy Fair is the positive reception of the entire concept collection of the olifu Corporate Group, which will continue to be our focus moving forward. Fair visitors were inspired by their experience, so we were able to establish new contacts from Germany and Austria, as well as for our export department.
Despite a slight decrease in the number of visitors due to concerns about the coronavirus, the hosts and exhibitors were pleased with the event. “We hope to be able to be there again in 2021 for our current partners and interested parties, despite the pandemic crisis.”
