1. Mathematical basics
Experiencing, understanding and learning
Die mathematischen Grundlagen spielerisch zu erfahren und im Wortsinn zu begreifen, macht die Welt der Mengen und Zahlen spannend und attraktiv. Viele der olifu Spiele und –Konzepte beinhalten die Mathematik und bieten sie in einem breit angelegten Erlebnisfeld an. Erste Berührungspunkte gibt es in diesem Bereich schon für die Kleinsten. Sie lernen mithilfe des olifu Leuchtturms Mengen im Raum von 1-6 kennen und zudem deren Verknüpfung mit Farben. Für die Älteren folgen diese Angebote auch für die Zahlen von 7-12. In der vorschulischen Bildung sowie im Grundschulalter wird somit das Grundlagenlernen für das mathematische Verständnis erlebbar gemacht.

Finding and developing our individual strengths is an important step in personal development. Experiences have to be gained individually, and independent behaviour will grow from there. This notion is the foundation for shaping one's own everyday life. Many different aspects fall under this umbrella: trying things out and planning, developing ideas and implementing them in theory as well as in practice – e.g. when building or constructing – being active, cultivating individual creativity, and experiencing the beginnings of personal enterprise. All of this is stimulated and supported by the many and varied possibilities of our products. These foundations for learning are truly a gold mine for the development and individual growth of young children.

„Die Natur gibt uns jeden Tag eine neue Chance, von ihr zu lernen.“ Unsere Maxime verdeutlicht unser Anliegen, die Natur als bedeutsamsten Faktor des Lebens kennenzulernen und zu respektieren. Sie reguliert sich selbst, sofern das nicht durch Einwirkungen von außen verhindert wird, denn Eingriffe in das Ökosystem bedeuten stets Veränderung. Umso wichtiger ist der Aspekt der Nachhaltigkeit. Die spielerische Sensibilisierung und Vermittlung dieser Punkte wollen wir mit unseren Produkten erreichen.

Humans need to be active and develop precision in their movements in stages from gross to fine motor skills. Movement alone is not the end goal, but we must also be mindful of individual health issues. This brings us to another important issue of nutrition: To mind what we eat, to get to know, categorise and internalise what is healthy for our bodies and what is not. Both physical activity and nutrition influence the body and can contribute to our overall health and well-being. With this in mind, olifu offers support with a wide range of elements for a healthy lifestyle.
5. Creativity / Improvisation
Initiate, discover, improvise
Creativity and imagination are closely linked, but are by no means restricted to the artistic field alone. Having an idea, planning it out and putting it into action is not always followed by success and the result is rarely immediate. With our products, we offer suggestions and help develop this creative process. Working with what is available calls for solution-based strategies to achieve the desired goal, if necessary in a roundabout way.

The simplest way to experience and understand logical connections is through thematic interest, so an individual’s curiosity should be considered an asset! Curiosity has a highly stimulating character and appeals to the desire to get to the bottom of things. To ask for reasons “why” a certain thing is the way it is means at the same time to examine something without taking anything for granted, and to try to discover new target-oriented possibilities. In this way, olifu also challenges tomorrow’s thinkers with its wide range of products.
